A little about Stedford McLeod…he was born in Florida and raised in Bronx, NY.
After playing four years of high school basketball at Gompers High School where he was an all-city player and helped lead his team to two back to back Bronx championships. He continued, playing four years of collegiate level basketball. While playing for Nyack College as a Forward, he received many accolades including 2 time All-CACC Team & NCCAA All Tournament First Team and All Met Second Team. He also served as captain of the team for 2 years. During his senior year he averaged 14.9 points and 5.2 rebounds.
Graduating in 2009 he received a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies-Social Work/ Psychology.
After completing his degree, he took a position at New Bridge Services as a Case Worker.
Keeping up with the game, he participated with Athletes in Action in Columbia for six months, a global Sports Ministry group. He consistently participates in summer and winter leagues as well as working various basketball camps for children ranging from elementary school to high school.
He offers one-on-one individual training for student athletes at all levels and one of his most recent clients is attending Marist College this year as a walk-on with a scholarship.
Coaching is a dream come true and can’t wait to get started with AAU and teaching young athletes the game of basketball which he has found to be most rewarding in his own personal life.
