Dave Julien brings 10 years of collegiate experience with Nyack College (NCAA DII) located in Nyack, NY. During his tenor he spent 9 years with the men’s team and 1 year with the women’s team. During this time he has had the pleasure of coaching with, mentored by Head Coaching staff; Dan Bailey (who actually coached Dave as Nyack College player), John D. Jones (former Nyack College Men's Head Coach, currently head coach at Brewton-Parker College), Tim Maloney (former Associate Head Coach UMass).
As a player for the Nyack College basketball team, 1992-93, 1993-94, 1995-96, and 1996-97 seasons the teams record during Dave's four years on the team was an impressive 73-63. A 2 time NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) East Region first team, 2 time NCCAA All American, 2 time Nyack College MVP, NAIA Honorable Mention All American, 3rd all time leading scorer at Nyack College (Men's Basketball) 1844 points.
Dave is originally from Harlem, NY and currently lives in Nyack, NY with his wife Gina. Dave graduated from Nyack College with a degree in Psychology. Dave’s passion for the game was inspired by his older brother, Dino Julien.
Dave, better known as "Jumpshot Julien" left his mark on Nyack College Athletics through his career on the basketball court and now looks forward to sharing what he has learned over the years with the next generation of basketball players.
